Short Interviews
There are oral boards where they only ask you a few questions. Then they ask
if you have anything to add or give a closing statement. You're missing out here
by not taking advantage of a great opportunity to deliver those answers you have
not already used, i.e., Why do you want to be a firefighter? What have you done
to prepare for the position? Why do you want to work for this department or
agency?
This is like going to Broadway to be in a play. You're playing the part of a
firefighter. When they ask you if you want to add anything, it's ShowTime! The
bright lights are coming on. The curtain is going up for a 25-year career. You
have to grab your top hat, cane and step it out!
Absolutely nothing counts 'til you have the badge. Nothing!
